We're going to be taking a look at Reese's M5 fifth Wheel Hitch for Ford vehicles with a prep package for fifth wheels. You can get this at either a 27K or a 20K model. We're showing up 27K today. Now, if you have a factory puck system, a hitch like this it's gonna install extremely easy. You do have to do a little bit of pre-assembly to attach the parts once you get them from the box, but once it's assembled you could either do it in the truck bed which we're going to be showing you how to do because it's easy to do if you're doing it all by yourself or if you've got a friend there to help you you can assemble it out of the truck. Hey guys, today we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for GM Trucks. So here's what our 5th Wheel Hitch is going to look like installed in our truck bed. Now keep in mind, there are a few different versions of this Hitch, we have the slider version as well as the 20K fixed version and the 25K fixed version. Now, these all three are going to be designed for models with the factory prep package. The factory prep package is going to consist of four packs that are pre-installed in the truck bed from the factory, as well as a center gooseneck opening. Now the factory prep package allows us to have a drop-in installation for our 5th Wheel Hitch, meaning we're not going to have to worry about having any bulky rails in our bed, taking up space and causing a hassle, getting items in and out. more

So this is a sturdy hitch for you to use with your 5th wheel trailer and this utilizes the puck system or the OEM rail system in your Ford trucks. It works for the 2011, through the current model year of your Ford F250, 350 and 450 for the long bed. If you do have a short bed truck, it's better to use a slider or something else that's going to accommodate for that close quarters or the close clearances for the short bed trucks. This is really more intended for the long beds.The nice thing about it is that we are going to be able to use that OEM Factory Prep Package System. Now this is going to be a very unique system to haul your fifth wheel trailer down the road with using your fifth wheel rails, but this is going to be a much lighter weight fifth wheel hitch than the typical fifth wheel hitch that you'll see out there. A lot of times it makes it difficult to take that fifth wheel hitch out of your rails. It's pretty heavy. Review of Pro Series Fifth Wheel - Sliding Fifth Wheel - PS30094- Video
Today we're going to take a look at the Pro Series fifth wheel trailer hitch with the square tube slider. It has a 16,000 pound weight capacity. Now this is a nice sturdy and reliable fifth wheel hitch at an affordable cost and it's perfect for short bed trucks because this hitch has a slider that will move the hitch and the kingpin 10" closer to your tailgate for increased turning clearance, so this will enable your short bed truck to make normal turns during slow speed maneuvers and in narrow spaces without the fear of the trailer's overhang hitting the cab of your vehicle.This does use a rounded slide bar single jaw system which will automatically latch around the trailer's kingpin. It offers improved low management and ride when compared with similar models. The head on this is a nice four-way pivoting head. It helps with the trailer hookup. more

Today we're going to take a look at the Husky Silver Series 16K S 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with the Slide Bar Jaw.It has a 16,000 lb gross towing weight capacity. Now, this is a 5th-wheel hitch that will mount in your truck bed so that you can tow your 5th-wheel trailer. It uses a slide bar jaw to secure your king-pin in the hitch and it has open sides on the head here to allow for the king-pin to swing without hitting sides of the head.Now it is adjustable to match your application. You can achieve the correct hitch height with the four position vertical adjustment here on the cross member. Let me just turn this a little bit so you can see. Right here on the cross member, you can see there's four rows of holes and depending on where you put your bolts into the legs you have a range of 14" to 17" of hitch height adjustment. more

Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider Review- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the Demco hijacker autoslide. This is a fifth wheel trailer hitch with automatic slider. Part number is DM8550037.Now, the autoslide from Demco is really designed to take a lot of the headaches out of hauling our fifth wheel campers with a short bed truck like this. Essentially, the older styles of slider, every time you needed to maneuver, parking lots, tighter spaces, you had to get our of your truck, release the handle, slide the head back, and then make sure it was locked back in.In this case, that entire function is going to be completely automatic. When we start to maneuver at slow speeds, there's a rack and pinion system right inside the head. The pin box is going to be captured between these two plates, and as we turn it, it automatically rotates rearward. more

Demco Recon 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Review- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Demco recon 5th wheel trailer hitch, this is for above bed rails and offers a 21,000 pound capacity, part number is DM-8550043. The recon 5th wheel from Demco is designed to make your hauling a lot easier, and also a lot quieter.Basically we have a light weight design, that's something I like about this one as compared to a lot of the other 5th wheels you're gonna see out there on the market. Got a pin here we can remove and we can take this out of the truck in two pieces, so really only gonna need one guy.Now a lot of the other traditional style 5th wheels, it's usually a two man job to get everything in place. And when it comes to weight capacities the hitch offers a vertical load limit of 5,250 pounds, so that's gonna be the maximum weight we can have pressing downward on our head, and our gross trailer weight rating, which is gonna be the weight of our trailer and anything we might load up in it, that's gonna be 21,000 pounds.Of course you do want to keep in mind you don't want to exceed the capacity of your vehicle, so whatever your trucks rated for, or whatever the hitch is rated for, which ever one is lower that's the ones you want to use.To make it quieter they use polyurethane brushings, we've got one on the head here so we don't have to deal with that noise as we're going down the road, and also on that side to side pivot, so we get a really nice quiet operating system you'll see that in the reviews.Also to add to that ease of use, not only is it easy to get it in and out of the truck, but it's easy to connect to your camper. It's gonna pivot left and right, and forward and back. So if your camper's on a little bit of an angle, with traditional style 5th wheels it was kinda hard to get those connected, you had to get everything level just so it would slide in just right. more

Speaker 1: Today we're gonna be taking a look at the CURT A20 Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch for the Nissan Titan XD Towing Prep Package. That's gonna be part number C16540-16026.So here's what our hitch looks like once we have it installed. Now this is gonna work perfectly for our Titans that have the factor prep package. The base here is just gonna slide into the puck system, you use four turn levers to lock them down.Now the head itself is gonna bolt to the leg assembly, and we're gonna have four height adjustments so we can match up to our trailer and make sure we have adequate clearance. And our head is gonna be adjustable all the way from 13 up to 17 inches.Our hitch is gonna have a full 360 degree contact going around the kingpin so we don't have to worry about it rattling around. And unlike the slide bar style jaws, this is gonna make sure that it makes full contact all the way around the kingpin. more

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Q20 fifth wheel trailer hitch for Nissan Titan XD towing prep package. That's going to be part number C16530-16026. So here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. Now the legs are going to slide directly into our Titan's under bed platform for the prep package. We're just going to have these quarter turn levers. They're adjustable, so we can get the height right, so there's no slop, or play in them.And then our hitch is going to mount to the legs using these four bolts, two on each side. more

Speaker 1: Today we're gonna take a look at the Curt A20 dual jaw fifth wheel trailer hitch on this R20 Slider, with the base rails and the universal installation kit. It has a 20,000 pound weight capacity. Now this fifth wheel hitch will mount in your truck bed, so that you can tow your fifth wheel trailer. It's mounted on this non-binding slider, which will provide an extra 12" of clearance, which is required for your short bed truck to turn safely at slow speeds. It helps prevent the trailer from hitting the cab of your pickup during those sharp, slow speed turns.It does slide smoothly on the rounded, non-binding rods, and it's designed for use on trucks with beds shorter than 8'. It's not recommended for use on truck beds shorter than 6'. more
